On August 21, 2014, Sylvia Mann, M.S., C.G.C., Supervisor, Genomics Section, Hawaii Department of Health, and Project Director, Western States Genetic Services Collaborative presented a Webinar on the topic of Telegenetics: The Role of Telegenetics in Expanding Access to Genetic and Newborn Screening Services.

  2. Introduced Regional Genetics Collaboratives and the National Coordinating Center
  3. Gave a snapshot of Telegenetics across the U.S., and
  4. Discussed the Telegenetics Training Program and real-life Telegenetics experiences

Hawaii Stroke Network (Telestroke): Improving Stroke Care in Hawaii

The Pacific Basin Telehealth Resource Center (PBTRC) sat down with Dr. Matthew Koenig, Associate Medical Director of Neurocritical Care at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, HI to discuss the Hawaii Stroke Network and how it has improved stroke care in Hawaii. In the video above, Dr. Koenig discusses the history of the program and how it has changed acute stroke care in the state.
