The AI Safety Awareness Project (AISAP) in collaboration with various state, county, and nonprofit partners across the state will host a week-long series of events for anyone curious about AI. These engaging workshops are designed to help community members understand artificial intelligence, its real-world impact, and how we can navigate its future responsibly. Each session offers a different lens on AI — from beginner-friendly overviews to deeper discussions on policy and privacy.

This session provides an overview of current AI capabilities and examines where the technology may be headed if development continues at its current pace. Participants will explore expert insights, emerging trends, and real-world implications — including AI-driven scams and fraud. We’ll also discuss how communities can stay informed, proactive, and resilient in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
This session explores the broader landscape of AI policy and governance. We examine the tools and mechanisms policymakers use to shape AI development, followed by a closer look at specific policies to understand their nuances and implications.
